Netflix is losing three of its best sci-fi movies later this month. While Netflix previously announced a list of titles leaving on December 31st, it didn’t include these particular films, making their departure a bit of a surprise.
Starting January 1st, Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, James Cameron’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day, and Ridley Scott’s The Martian will no longer be available on Netflix. That means New Year’s Eve is your last chance to watch them. While Netflix announced all three films would be leaving, only The Martian was mentioned in their January newsletter.
Good news for sci-fi fans! Netflix is adding some exciting titles in January. On January 1st, you’ll be able to stream popular movies like Dune and District 9. Plus, all five seasons of the sci-fi series Falling Skies, about an alien invasion, will also be available.
What Else Is Leaving Netflix?
Unfortunately, several popular movies and shows will be removed from Netflix on January 1st. Along with some big sci-fi titles, classics like The Goonies, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Baby Driver are going away. All six seasons of the TV show Lost will also no longer be available. You’ll find a complete list of everything leaving Netflix below.
