Bryan Cranston fans should be aware of some upcoming changes: one of his grittier roles is moving from its current streaming home.
Bryan Cranston, best known for his role in Breaking Bad, has had a busy 2026. He recently returned to play Hal in the Hulu revival of Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair. Now, as summer begins, one of his more intense shows is getting some changes.
The legal drama Your Honor, which you could previously watch on Netflix, will soon be removed from the streaming service. The first two seasons will no longer be available after Sunday, May 31st.
Originally, the show was planned as a one-time event, but it proved popular enough to get a second season. Despite this, Bryan Cranston announced in July 2022 that there wouldn’t be a third season of Your Honor.
Bryan Cranston, the Emmy-winning actor, revealed on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast that Your Honor would end after its second season. He explained that while the Showtime series was very successful—reportedly achieving the highest ratings of any show the network had ever aired—it was always intended to be a limited run, and he was preparing for the final season.
I was really curious if Showtime was going to renew Your Honor after its second season, but they hadn’t said anything yet. Then, Bryan Cranston, after first talking about it on Dax Shepard’s podcast, actually gave a different take on whether the show might continue. It was interesting to hear him change his tune!
In April 2023, Cranson told Deadline he wasn’t certain about a potential Season 3. He said Showtime had expressed interest, and that Season 2 saw increasing viewership each week. While he’d be excited to produce more, he wasn’t sure about appearing in it himself, as his character was once again imprisoned. He emphasized that any continuation would need a compelling reason to further explore the story and character relationships.
The second season of Your Honor concluded with its eighth episode on March 19, 2023. Although the show was popular with viewers on Showtime, critics had a different opinion.
Bryan Cranston played the role of Judge Michael Desiato, and Hunter Doohan, known from Wednesday, portrayed his son, Adam Desiato. The show Your Honor also starred Sofia Black-D’Elia as Frannie Latimer, Michael Stuhlbarg as Jimmy Baxter, Hope Davis as Gina Baxter, Isiah Whitlock Jr. as Charlie Figaro, and Carmen Ejogo as Lee Delamere.
As of today, the show has received an average score of 49% on Rotten Tomatoes, with audiences giving it a 67% rating on the Popcornmeter. The first season of Your Honor currently has a 49% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 69% audience score on the Popcornmeter.
The second season of Your Honor received lower ratings than the first. Critics gave it a 50% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and viewers rated it 64% on the Popcornmeter.
Catch Your Honor on Netflix until May 31.
