Netflix has added a really enjoyable sequel that deserves more attention – it’s just as good as the first movie! It’s hilarious, features over-the-top violence in a fun way, and boasts incredible fight scenes with the return of a fantastic lead actor. Definitely check it out now that it’s streaming, and don’t forget to watch the original too – it’s available to rent on Prime Video.
Starring Bob Odenkirk, Nobody 2 follows Hutch Mansell, an assassin who’s also a workaholic. He tries to reconnect with his family by taking them on vacation to the small town of Plummerville, after realizing he’s been missing out on important moments with his kids. Of course, things don’t go as planned, and Hutch quickly finds himself targeted by a crooked theme park owner, a suspicious sheriff, and a ruthless crime boss. The movie is a refreshingly creative and enjoyable action film, and Bob Odenkirk delivers a brilliantly funny, understated performance.
Nobody 2 Is a Great Way to Kill Some Time
Though not quite as impactful as the original Nobody, Nobody 2 is still a very enjoyable film, receiving strong positive feedback from both critics and audiences (76% and 88% respectively). The main criticism is that it doesn’t break new ground, sticking closely to the formula that made the first film a hit instead of trying to surpass it. As critic David Griffiths put it, the movie is like a blend of National Lampoon’s Family Vacation and The Fall Guy, earning it a 2.5 out of 5 star rating.
Honestly, I wasn’t sure if Nobody even needed a sequel, but I’m so glad they made one! It’s just a really fun ride, and it seems like everyone else feels the same way. One person put it perfectly: it’s great when a movie knows exactly what its audience wants and just delivers – no complicated storylines or hidden messages, just pure entertainment. It’s exactly what I was hoping for, and it totally hit the mark.
