Netflix Now Streaming the Best Action Movie of the 2010s

On Wednesday, Netflix saw a significant surge in its lineup of action movies. The platform already boasts a number of popular action titles, including recent additions like “Plane” and “Den of Thieves,” which have added a lot of buzz among fans. However, this week saw the addition of one of the most impressive action films from the last 15 years, a move that is likely to make it a mainstay on Netflix as long as it remains available.

Among the top-notch action films from the 2010s, two titles likely spring to mind: John Wick and Mad Max: Fury Road. The latter became available on Netflix’s streaming service earlier this week, allowing viewers to explore the chaotic dystopian world created by acclaimed director George Miller.

10 years ago, Mad Max: Fury Road stormed into cinemas and quickly established itself as an action masterpiece. In terms of visual impact, it’s hard to find a film of its scale and budget that looks as breathtakingly beautiful. The world-building is exceptional, which explains why Warner Bros. has asked George Miller to return to the post-apocalyptic landscape for more Mad Max tales in the years following.

One advantage of introducing this Fury Road extension now is that it aligns with Miller’s contemporary Mad Max blockbuster, the 2024 prequel film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Remarkably, this latter movie is available on Netflix’s streaming service, allowing subscribers to enjoy both new Mad Max films consecutively.

I’m sorry to inform you that you’ll only have a week to enjoy watching ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and ‘Mad Max: Fury Road – Furiosa’ together, as the latter is scheduled to depart from Netflix on July 16th, just a week after the former joins the platform.

New on Netflix in July

In July, Mad Max: Fury Road is set to be a notable addition to Netflix’s collection, but it follows a flurry of new releases at the start of the month. On the first day of July alone, Netflix welcomed numerous titles such as Anchorman, The Karate Kid, Mission: Impossible, and Wayne’s World.
