Netflix Users Have Just Days Left Before the Streamer Loses One of the Best Sitcoms of the 2000s

The 2000s were a golden age for sitcoms, with shows like The Office, Modern Family, and Arrested Development becoming huge hits. Now, Netflix subscribers don’t have much time left to watch one of the best comedies from that era. While Netflix added a lot of new shows and movies in November, it’s also removing some older titles, and a popular sitcom is about to disappear from the platform.

If you’re a fan of the sitcom Reba, you only have a few days left to watch it on Netflix. All 127 episodes of the show, which originally aired from 2001 to 2007 and stars Reba McEntire as a single mom, will be removed from the streaming service on November 6th. Reba has been available on Netflix since May 2024, but its streaming rights are expiring.

Reba Was a Definitive Sitcom of the 2000s

The 2000s were a fantastic time for sitcoms, and the genre was changing a lot. The show Reba really captured that moment. It aired as TV shows began to move away from typical family setups and explore more modern ones. Reba stood out by realistically and warmly portraying a blended family – a divorced mom dealing with life alongside her ex-husband. The show didn’t shy away from tough topics like divorce, cheating, and the challenges of co-parenting, but it also showed the everyday joys and struggles of building a new family, and even touched on issues like teen pregnancy.

Beyond breaking stereotypes and highlighting the importance of chosen family, the show Reba remained popular thanks to its incredible cast, particularly Reba McEntire, who showed a real talent for comedy, and Melissa Peterman. The show is also well-known for its catchy theme song, “I’m a Survivor,” which you’ll likely be humming for days. Reba is a real emotional ride – you’ll laugh and cry, often within the same episode – and its self-contained episodes and compelling story make it perfect for binge-watching.

Where to Stream Reba After It Leaves Netflix?

Even though Reba is leaving Netflix, fans can still watch all six seasons on Hulu and Disney+. Luckily, it’s not expected to disappear from those streaming services anytime soon. You can also rent or buy episodes through video on demand (VOD).

Now that Reba is leaving Netflix, subscribers have plenty of other choices. November 1st brought a lot of new movies and shows to the platform, including all three Back to the Future films, the series Broadchurch (seasons 1-3), Crazy Rich Asians, Ocean’s 8, and Paddington 2, plus many more.
