Netflix’s Bloodhounds Season 2 Finally Arrives Next Month

The action series Bloodhounds received a lot of praise when its first season was released. Now, after a three-year wait, the show is returning with a new season that’s about to premiere.

Netflix has revealed that Season 2 of Bloodhounds will arrive on April 3, 2026. A new trailer has also been released, giving fans a first look at what’s to come. The new season picks up three years after the first, and expands the story to a larger, more dangerous world – an illegal, international boxing league. You can watch the trailer below for a preview.

Bloodhounds Has Critics and Audiences in Agreement

The Netflix series Bloodhounds debuted in June 2023 and quickly gained popularity. The show centers on a talented boxer who fights against a ruthless loan shark group, aided by a former marine and a financial expert. Critics praised the first season, giving it an 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while viewers loved it even more, with a score of 92%. Bloodhounds was also recognized by Time as one of the best Korean dramas on Netflix that year.

Beyond the exciting action scenes, the Netflix series Bloodhounds is particularly enjoyable because of the strong connection and believable chemistry between its two main characters, making viewers genuinely want them to succeed, according to Time critic Chad de Guzman.

The Stakes Are Raised in Bloodhounds Season 2

The takedown of the illegal loan shark operation was just the first step. Season 2 will see Gun-woo (Woo Do-hwan) and Woo-jin (Lee Sang-yi) facing an even bigger challenge: a powerful, international organization built on money and violence. Woo Do-hwan, known for his roles in Mr. Plankton and The King: Eternal Monarch, returns as Gun-woo, a character described as a boxer with a strong moral compass.

Lee Sang-yi, known for his roles in Good Boy and My Demon, returns as Woo-jin, Gun-woo’s courageous and supportive friend and boxing partner. The two team up again to dismantle an illegal boxing operation. Jung Ji-hoon, previously seen in Take 1 and Red Swan, makes his debut as a villain, playing Baek-jeong, who will stop at nothing to pull Gun-woo and Woo-jin into the dangerous world of underground boxing.

With the end of Cobra Kai on Netflix after six seasons, many fans were hoping for another action-packed series. While the Karate Kid story continues in theaters with Karate Kid: Legends, there’s still a gap left by the popular martial arts show’s conclusion.

Bloodhounds is streaming on Netflix with Season 2 set to premiere on Apr. 3, 2026.
