Nintendo is already planning a busy summer with games like Splatoon Raiders, Switch Sports, and Rhythm Heaven Groove. Now, according to insider NateTheHate, they might also release a new Star Fox game that feels like the classic titles. This new game could be revealed during the expected Nintendo Direct presentation in June, which would coincide with the recent appearance of the Star Fox character in The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
Rumors suggest a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time might arrive around the holidays for the upcoming Switch 2. This has people wondering when we’ll see the next 3D Mario game. Current reports indicate it’s planned for 2027 – ten years after Super Mario Odyssey launched with the original Switch.
Mario hasn’t been idle – Super Mario Bros. Wonder came out in October 2023 and was a huge hit with critics. The team also created Donkey Kong Bananza, which launched last July for the Nintendo Switch 2, earning excellent reviews and selling over four million copies.
Although we probably won’t hear about it in the next Nintendo Direct, announcing a remake of Ocarina of Time would suggest it’s planned for release in 2027. Only time will tell for sure, but Nintendo might be delaying the announcement to spread out its major game launches.
