Details about a new Dragon Ball Z role-playing game have surfaced online ahead of Bandai Namco’s official announcement. It seems the leak reveals Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, the next installment in the popular series that last saw a release with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 in 2016. Fans have been eagerly awaiting a third game for years, especially given the success of the previous titles, and it appears their wait is almost over.
Fans of Dragon Ball recently spotted a playlist on the official Bandai Namco Southeast Asia YouTube channel titled Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3. It appears to be a leak, as Bandai Namco quickly removed the playlist after it was noticed online, without offering any explanation. If it was simply an error, the company likely would have issued a statement when they took it down.
Dragon Ball New Game Project AGE 1000
Back in January, Bandai Namco revealed a new Dragon Ball project planned for 2027, initially called Dragon Ball New Game Project AGE 1000. It seems this was actually a placeholder name for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, as many fans predicted. We’re not sure why Bandai Namco announced the game under a codename, but they’ve done similar things before with titles like Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. With new downloadable content still being released for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Bandai Namco likely didn’t want to overshadow it with news about a sequel.
Although the YouTube playlist has been removed, its existence suggests a reveal is coming soon from Bandai Namco. They likely wouldn’t be creating playlists if they weren’t getting ready to announce something. It’s still unclear if the announcement will happen this week, though.
Bandai Namco hasn’t officially responded to this information, and given that it appears to be a genuine leak originating from them, they likely won’t. However, we’ll update this article if they do. While some companies create fake leaks as a marketing tactic, Bandai Namco doesn’t have a history of doing so.
