New Expansion Brings KPop Demon Hunters to Dungeons & Dragons

Since it premiered in 2025, KPop Demon Hunters has quickly become incredibly popular. With a new McDonald’s partnership and a sequel film planned, the Netflix series shows no signs of losing momentum. It was only a matter of time before a KPop Demon Hunters game appeared, and several tabletop games are already in development. However, if you’re hoping for a full-fledged KPop Demon Hunters role-playing game, it might take a while. Unless you’re interested in playing Dungeons & Dragons with a KPop Demon Hunters twist – because that’s happening soon!

I’ve been a D&D fan for years, and what always gets me is how much freedom it gives you to create your own stories. Whether you’re building a world from scratch or using a published adventure, it’s always a collaborative effort between players and the Dungeon Master. And it’s not just official content – tons of creators have made amazing supplements that really expand what a D&D campaign can be. Now, there’s a new Kickstarter project called KPop Demon Hunters that’s totally blown up! It’s a D&D supplement inspired by that awesome Netflix movie, and it lets you live out your K-pop idol fantasies in a D&D setting. It’s already way over its funding goal, so it looks like those dreams are becoming a reality soon!

Idols of the Neon Dark Brings KPop Demon Hunters to D&D 5e

I was absolutely blown away when Idols of the Neon Dark launched on Kickstarter! It funded in just four minutes – seriously! – and kept smashing through stretch goals until the campaign ended on April 9th. Honestly, after checking out the Kickstarter page, it’s easy to see why. The game looks incredible, and the concept is so cool: a 5.5e RPG that lets you actually play as a K-Pop Demon Hunter in a tabletop roleplaying game. It’s a dream come true for anyone who loves K-Pop and TTRPGs!

This expansive supplement, exceeding 250 pages, introduces Lumenica, a vibrant new setting inspired by K-pop. It features a complete 80-page adventure, a new Idol character class with 14 specialized options, and two new races players can choose. Beyond the main adventure, Idols of the Neon Dark includes over 20 shorter, self-contained adventures perfect for younger players. If you’re looking for a way to introduce a young fan of games like KPop Demon Hunters to Dungeons & Dragons, this could be the perfect starting point.
