I’m so excited! It looks like a new Horizon game might be coming out sooner rather than later! PlayStation has so many amazing franchises – Uncharted, God of War, The Last of Us, and now Horizon is right up there with them. I love that Horizon is set in a post-apocalyptic world with these incredible robotic dinosaurs. It’s a really unique blend of futuristic technology and prehistoric themes – it’s not just about big guns, which is cool. Guerrilla Games has already given us two main Horizon games and a VR spin-off, and now they’re even making a Horizon Zero Dawn movie! It’s a fantastic series, and I can’t wait to see what they do next.

PlayStation is heavily invested in the Horizon series and is almost certainly planning a third game. Considering the last installment came out in 2022, a new Horizon title could be released by 2027, possibly even coinciding with the launch of the PlayStation 6. It looks like PlayStation intends to continue building on the franchise’s success without any significant pauses, capitalizing on its current popularity.

Horizon Steel Frontiers, a New MMO, Has Leaked

According to The Verge, a new game in the Horizon series, called Horizon Steel Frontiers, is in development and will be a massively multiplayer online game (MMO). Rumors of a multiplayer Horizon game have been circulating for a while, and this seems to be it. Players will team up to battle mechanical creatures, gather equipment, and improve their characters. The game will feature character customization, meaning you’ll create a brand new hero and won’t be able to play as Aloy or any existing characters from the series.

According to executive producer Sung-Gu Lee, the main idea behind Horizon Steel Frontiers is the excitement of battling giant machines. He explains that hunting these massive machines was a key part of what made the original Horizon games so popular, and now the team is bringing that experience to the world of online multiplayer gaming.

NCSoft and Sony are working together on a new game called Horizon Steel Frontiers. The game is planned for PC and mobile devices, which surprisingly means it won’t be available on PlayStation – at least initially. While a release date hasn’t been announced, the developers are aiming to launch it as soon as they can.
