With the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie coming soon, even the toy releases are building excitement! Hasbro has started showing off some new figures, giving fans a hint of what the characters might look like. While fans are already looking forward to seeing Savage Hulk and possibly Maestro, the most exciting reveal is a brand new villain who will be appearing in a Marvel Cinematic Universe film for the first time.
Hasbro recently revealed a new Scorpion action figure at CCXP, designed for younger fans and featuring the character’s complete armored suit. While it’s unclear exactly how much screen time the Scorpion helmet will get in the movie, comic book fans will be happy to hear it will appear in at least some scenes. Hasbro also mentioned that the toy’s design is based on the look of Scorpion from the Spider-Man: Brand New Day comics, though the final movie costumes may differ.
It’s a Great Glimpse Into What to Expect from Scorpion’s Look

Last August, The Hollywood Reporter revealed Michael Mando would reprise his role as Mac Gargan, a character first introduced in a post-credits scene from Spider-Man: Homecoming. Photos from the set in October 2025 showed Mando in a prison jumpsuit, being escorted off a helicopter. This will be the first time Mando fully portrays Scorpion, a character seeking revenge on Spider-Man for his imprisonment in Homecoming.
As we learn more about the new movie, the hints we’re getting suggest Scorpion will be the main villain in Brand New Day. It will be challenging to juggle all the storylines already planned, but it would be a mistake not to fully utilize the character of Gargan. Showing him only briefly as a minor villain or sidekick would disappoint fans and waste the potential of Mando, who hasn’t been used enough in his appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially since he was absent from the last two Spider-Man films.
