With December here and the year winding down, streaming services are offering a lot of great content, making it easy to enjoy entertainment from the comfort of your home instead of braving the cold. This week brings a highly anticipated new movie, plus the return of two popular streaming series, so it’s the perfect time to stay in and watch TV.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Season 2) – December 10 (Disney+)
I was completely hooked by the first season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians – it was one of Disney+’s biggest successes outside of the Star Wars and Marvel universes! I’m so excited it’s coming back for another season, and this time it’s based on Sea of Monsters. It follows Percy as he goes on an epic quest to find the Golden Fleece, and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.

Tomb Raider The Legend of Lara Croft, Season 2 – December 11 (Netflix)
Those excited about the upcoming live-action Tomb Raider series with Sophie Turner will also be happy to know there’s more Lara Croft content available now. A second season of the animated series, featuring Hayley Atwell as the voice of Lara Croft, is back on Netflix to finish its story. This offers fans a chance to enjoy new adventures while waiting for the live-action reboot and the relaunch of the video games.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery – December 12 (Netflix)
The first Knives Out movie was a big success as a standalone film, but now Benoit Blanc’s cases have become a series. The newest installment, Wake Up Dead Man, is coming to Netflix this week after a limited run in theaters. It features Daniel Craig as the detective, this time investigating the death of a priest in a room that appeared to be sealed shut. The film also stars Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, and Jeremy Renner.

Taylor Swift: The End of an Era/Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour – The Final Show – December 12 (Disney+)
Taylor Swift is currently the world’s biggest music star. Her recent Eras Tour was a massive event, and now Disney+ is offering fans a behind-the-scenes look with a new documentary series, plus a concert film capturing the tour’s final performance.

F1 – December 12 (Apple TV)
Typically, when streaming services release movies in theaters, it’s only for a limited time before they become available to stream at home. But Brad Pitt’s F1, a major box office hit this year, has been an exception – it wasn’t available on Apple TV until now. Thankfully, that changes this week.
Even with all the new shows and movies hitting streaming services this week, there’s always more to discover. Check back with us each week for the latest highlights from your go-to streaming platforms.
