Being a One Piece fan is fantastic right now! With the ongoing live-action Netflix show, the One Piece anime reboot, the trading card game, and the soon-to-release One Piece: Dawn of Liberation, there’s plenty for fans to enjoy. And now, it’s getting even better – a new game is in development, and it’s based on one of the series’ most exciting story arcs.
The latest game in the One Piece series, One Piece: Escape from Egghead, is a cooperative adventure for 1-4 players. Players work together to be the first to escape Egghead Island by overcoming three challenging bosses. The game combines dice rolls with a ‘press your luck’ mechanic, and players will need to use the unique powers of Luffy and Bonney to succeed. Everything We Know About One Piece: Escape From Egghead
The game’s story and challenges are inspired by the Egghead Arc from the manga and anime series. Players will explore the futuristic Egghead Island, where Dr. Vegapunk resides. A key part of the story involves Jewelry Bonney, who is determined to defeat Vegapunk, and players will get to control her in the game.
Imagine a dramatic island siege with intense battles and major events. That’s the energy Escape from Egghead aims to deliver. You’ll need to quickly get off the island before the Marines arrive and eliminate all of the Vegapunks.
This game offers a solid competitive experience and falls nicely between the other two One Piece games available: Luffy’s Bento Panic and Dawn of Liberation. Liberation is ideal for players who enjoy solo or small-group play, while Bento Panic is designed purely for parties. Escape from Egghead isn’t as lengthy as Liberation, but it’s more complex than Bento Panic, meaning there’s now a One Piece game to suit every type of fan.

One Piece: Escape from Egghead will hit Target stores and online stores in July of 2026.
