The twist is particularly unexpected given that DayZ from Bohemia Interactive, the latest free PlayStation Plus game, has been available since 2013 and on PS4 since 2019. Remarkably, it doesn’t have a dedicated PS5 version, but can be played on both the PS5 and PS5 Pro through backward compatibility. This revelation is even more astonishing when you consider that over 1.3 million PlayStation players were eager to try out this popular game, initially released by Bohemia Interactive and attracting millions of players so far. However, it remains unclear how many of these new players are sticking around with the game.
It’s quite surprising that DayZ, a game already available since 2013 on PS4 and without a dedicated PS5 version, is now free for PlayStation Plus members.
