Nintendo Indie World Showcase Announced for March 3rd

Following a successful Partner Showcase last month, Nintendo will host an Indie World Showcase on March 3rd. The 15-minute presentation starts at 6 AM Pacific Time / 8 AM Eastern Time and will reveal more about upcoming independent games for both the Nintendo Switch and the new Switch 2.

While there are a few games that could be shown, I’m predicting we’ll see Mina the Hollower. It was originally planned for release after 2025, but is now expected this spring, making a release date announcement at the showcase likely. A surprise release would be amazing, but even just a date would be great.

There’s also a chance we might see Witchbrook from Chucklefish. This cozy fantasy life simulation game, where you play a student at Witchbrook College, has been delayed several times, but is currently scheduled to release in 2026. While it hasn’t been officially confirmed for the Nintendo Switch 2 yet, the Indie World Showcase seems like a likely place for an announcement.

Honestly, it’s wild how many possibilities are out there, and I kinda miss when everyone was obsessing over Hollow Knight: Silksong! But with the free Sea of Sorrow DLC coming out this year, I’m definitely thinking of jumping back into the game and sharing some silkposting. Either way, I’ll be posting more updates and doing a live stream tomorrow, so keep an eye out!
