Owners of the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 will soon be able to experience a highly-rated game expected to be one of the best of 2026. The Switch 2’s increased power is attracting more game developers, but it has also meant some games are released on the Switch 2 after they’ve already launched on other consoles like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. While this recently happened with a popular title, a specific release date is now set for Switch 2 players.
WB Games announced that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 18th. This is also the day the first downloadable content pack for the game becomes available. Switch 2 players have waited about four months longer than players on other systems, but it’s good news that the game is coming to the console.
The upcoming Switch release of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is even more promising thanks to its excellent reviews. The game currently has an average score of 84/100 on Metacritic, placing it among the best-received games of 2026 so far, though it may not be a top contender for Game of the Year.
I’m really excited about the Switch 2 version of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight! From what I’ve heard, it’s going to be pretty much the same game as on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Now, the Switch 2 is a bit different, so there might be a few small tweaks to how it looks or runs, but Nintendo fans shouldn’t worry – we’re still getting the same awesome LEGO Batman experience everyone else is enjoying!
