Nintendo Switch owners—whether they have the standard, Lite, or OLED model—can get a popular game for only $5 on the eShop right now. That’s because of a huge 92% discount that lasts until February 10, 2026. This is the lowest price this game has ever been offered for on the Nintendo eShop, and it’s unlikely to be cheaper in the future. It’s worth noting that this version is for the current Switch consoles only, as there isn’t a version for the Switch 2.
The Nintendo Switch game currently on sale for a very low price is a Lovecraftian action-adventure title called The Sinking City, developed by the French studio Frogwares. This deal is for the Deluxe Edition, which includes The Worshippers of the Necronomicon DLC – a set of three side quests – and Merciful Madness, an exclusive Nintendo Switch DLC featuring three additional bonus quests.
2019 Action Adventure Game
Originally released in 2019, The Sinking City performed well enough to warrant a sequel. This new installment is currently planned for release in the first half of 2026, though it’s currently unknown if it will be available on Nintendo Switch or the upcoming Switch 2.
When The Sinking City launched, reviews were mixed, earning scores between 61 and 77 on Metacritic – the ratings differed depending on which platform you played it on. The game was also nominated for “Best Action and Adventure Game” at an industry awards show. While exact sales numbers haven’t been revealed, it was successful enough to warrant a follow-up game.
You’re a detective in a unique open-world game set in Oakmont, a city partially underwater and now plagued by strange, supernatural events. Your main goal is to uncover the mystery behind what caused these occurrences.
If you’re thinking of getting this game from the Nintendo eShop, plan to spend around 20 to 25 hours playing it. The eShop listing doesn’t say how much storage space the game needs, which is a bit strange. However, the game isn’t very large, so it shouldn’t take up too much space on your Switch or Switch 2.
