No PS5, PS4 Trophies for Time Crisis as Bandai Namco Continues Its Classics Losing Streak

Great news for fans: the classic arcade shooter Time Crisis is now available on both PS5 and PS4! You can purchase it directly from the PlayStation Store, or get it as part of a PS Plus Premium subscription.

It’s disappointing that Bandai Namco isn’t adding Trophy support to its PlayStation 1 and 2 classic games. Unfortunately, games like Time Crisis don’t include any digital rewards at all.

It’s really annoying, because this Japanese company is usually awesome at bringing back their older games – they’re quick to approve them for re-release, which is great. It just feels off when they don’t!

Time Crisis is being brought back like other popular Bandai Namco games such as Tekken 2, Tekken 3, Tekken: Dark Resurrection, and SoulCalibur 3. However, similar to those games, it won’t have PlayStation Trophies when it’s released.

It’s possible Trophies might be added to the game eventually, but it’s looking less and less likely since Bandai Namco hasn’t said anything about them so far.

Now, before anyone jumps to point it out, we all know that earning trophies isn’t what makes a game fun. You definitely don’t need to unlock them to enjoy something, especially if you’re playing it for the memories!

It would be great to have Trophies added to the game, wouldn’t it? A little extra motivation is always welcome, and PlayStation and Bandai Namco could easily sell more copies by appealing to players who enjoy earning Trophies.

It’s always seemed like a crazy thing to pass up on for no discernible reason.
