North West Claps Back at Critics of Her Finger Piercing

North West is letting people know they can’t tell her nothing.

North West, the 12-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, responded to criticism about her finger piercing with a TikTok video. Posted on her and Kim’s shared account on December 9th, the video shows North lip-syncing to a sound that playfully calls out people who are upset, asking why they’re crying and telling them to ‘pull it together.’

North addressed those criticizing her finger piercing in a video caption, saying it was “for everyone that’s mad over it.”

Kim Kardashian, who shares children Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, with Kanye West, has spoken out before to support her daughter after fans noticed a piercing on her finger last September. The piercing goes through the skin on the top of her middle finger.

Last November, someone on TikTok posted a video expressing sadness that North West had gotten a finger piercing, asking if they were the only one who felt that way.

Kim immediately jumped to her daughter’s defense in the comments, simply writing “it’s okay” and adding a hand heart emoji.

Just a month before, the actress known for All’s Fair responded to a TikTok user who commented on North’s appearance after she showed off a fake septum piercing, temporary face tattoos, and colored contacts, simply stating, “This isn’t a problem at all.”

Kim has said she fully supports her daughter’s self-expression through fashion, seeing it as a sign of her growing confidence.

Kim explained to Alex Cooper on the October 15th episode of Call Her Daddy that she supports her daughter’s self-expression, saying, ‘If she wants blue hair, that’s her choice.’ She added that she’d never discourage her daughter’s creativity.

As for North, she made it clear that she doesn’t pay attention to anything the haters have to say.

Kim explained that her daughter is very self-assured. She anticipates her daughter will respond to criticism – like someone disliking her blue hair – with confidence, essentially saying she wouldn’t want to associate with those people anyway.
