The eagerly awaited reunion tour….
The biggest musical event of 2025 was definitely the Oasis reunion tour, and we were thrilled to be at the very first show at Wembley – it was an unforgettable night! (You can read about our experience HERE.) Now, exciting news: a film or documentary about the 2025 Oasis tour is in the works.
The film is directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, known for their documentaries “Shut Up and Play the Hits” and “Meet Me in the Bathroom.” The script was written by Steven Knight, the creator of “Peaky Blinders” and a writer for the latest James Bond films.
The Oasis 2025 film
The Oasis Live ’25 concert, featuring Liam and Noel Gallagher, was a highly anticipated comeback for the iconic band. The accompanying documentary is presented as a genuinely positive look at what many considered the biggest music event of 2025, showcasing the experiences of both the band and their global fanbase. Filmmakers captured extensive footage of rehearsals, behind-the-scenes moments, and the band’s first joint interviews in over 25 years. The tour sold out completely, and the film will explore its impact on the band, their music, and the wider cultural landscape.
According to Knight, the work truly reflects the feeling and energy of a significant cultural moment, and it appropriately honors the talent and creativity of two remarkable individuals. He aimed to portray not only the story of the brothers and their band, but also the impact their music had on fans, often profoundly changing their lives. Ultimately, it’s a story about how music can bring people together across generations, cultures, and countries, offering a sense of hope even during difficult and divisive times.
The film will be released on IMAX on 11th September 2026
