Olivia Culpo Details Having an Identity Crisis After Welcoming Baby

Olivia Culpo had to reassess who she was after welcoming her daughter. 

After welcoming her first child with husband Christian McCaffrey in July, model Colette McCaffrey shared that she briefly struggled with figuring out who she was beyond being a mother.

As Olivia recalled, she worried that motherhood would prevent her from pursuing her career as well.   

Becoming a parent really changes things,” the 33-year-old said on the October 15th episode of *The Squeeze* podcast. “Whether you’re prepared for it or not, you’re suddenly responsible for another person who completely relies on you. And honestly, it’s a little frightening.”

Olivia also mentioned that she’s been very dedicated to her career for many years.

I tend to worry a lot, and I’m also very driven, but it’s something a lot of people experience, she explained.

Fortunately, the former Miss Universe, who married Christian in June 2024, has a strong support network helping her manage her career and care for her 2-month-old daughter, Colette.

Olivia expressed deep gratitude for her husband, explaining that while she’s dedicated to her career and thankful for her opportunities, she wouldn’t have had the same drive or motivation in the past without his support. She specifically mentioned that having someone who depends on her, like their child, has been a powerful force, and she doubts she would have been able to push herself so hard years ago without both her husband and her child in her life.

She added, “And I would choose my baby 10 times over obviously.”

Indeed, Olivia is having a blast raising her little one—vulnerable moments included. 

She was thrilled, saying, “It’s been so much fun!” She explained she was really trying to savor each day because she knew this time would fly by, and everyone told her these were the days you remember as going by incredibly quickly.

Fortunately, with Colette settling into her new situation, Olivia has a bit more time to adjust to everything that’s changed.

The baby is sleeping much better now, finally sleeping through the night instead of waking up constantly,” said the *Culpo Sisters* star. “It’s allowing me to really relax and enjoy each moment.”

Just a week after welcoming her baby, Olivia Culpo posted a sweet time-lapse video showing her pregnancy journey. The video concluded with a heartwarming moment of her holding her and husband Christian McCaffrey’s daughter, Colette.

The model and her tiny tot proved they are a winning duo by sporting matching fluffy brown robes. 

Olivia was grateful that her mom, Susan Curran, helped her care for baby Colette as she settled into new motherhood.

The former Miss Universe shared on Instagram that she hopes to be as wonderful a grandmother as her child’s grandmother is.

Olivia and Christian, who got married in June 2024, were thrilled to learn they were expecting a baby, and they weren’t the only ones!

The model posted some cute videos of her dog, Oliver, showing how excited he was to meet her baby, Colette. One video showed all three of them napping together in bed.

It’s clear Oliver will be a wonderful big brother! He sweetly kissed his new baby sister while she was snug in her carrier.

Colette got some much-needed rest while cuddling in her mom’s arms on a cozy armchair. 

Olivia’s sister, Sophia Culpo, appears to be a natural aunt, looking relaxed and happy while enjoying a nature walk with her niece.
