Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey are growing their team again!

Almost ten months after welcoming their daughter Colette, the former Miss Universe has announced she and her husband, a running back for the San Francisco 49ers, are expecting another baby.

Olivia announced she’s expecting her second child on Instagram May 8th, her 34th birthday. She shared a family photo and captioned it, “Best birthday gift. Baby #2 coming soon.”

The model playfully hinted on Instagram that she was keeping a birthday surprise secret.

She also cleverly announced her pregnancy by recreating a photo from last year – a maternity shot from her 33rd birthday – to show how her baby bump has grown since then.

I was so touched when Christian, who’s 29, shared the sweetest message on his Instagram Story! He wrote, ‘Happy birthday to the best wife and mom on the planet. I love you,’ and it just perfectly captured how much he adores her.

Olivia has been open about the joys and challenges of becoming a mother since her daughter, Colette, was born in July. She’s said it can be frightening, but also incredibly enjoyable.

She shared on the October episode of The Squeeze podcast that each day feels unique and she’s trying to savor the moment, knowing how quickly time passes. It’s a common sentiment – people often say these are the days you’ll look back on and realize flew by.

Meanwhile, Christian has been soaking up all the time he’s spent with his little one. 

He told TopMob News in February that watching his daughter grow has been the most amazing experience of his life. He especially loved seeing her personality emerge, her growing awareness of the world around her, and her first smiles and movements – he described it all as incredible.

“I love her so much,” the NFL star added. “My wife loves her so much.”

As for who Colette more closely resembles?

Christian explained that sometimes his daughter feels exactly like his twin, but at other times, he clearly sees a resemblance to her mother, noting their shared eyebrows and eyelashes.

But when it comes to the little one’s personality, the jury is still out.

“It’s starting to come out more,” he said, “and we’re noticing different things every day.”

I’m so glad my mom, Susan Curran, was there to help me with baby Colette when I first became a mom. Those first few weeks were a big adjustment, and I truly felt lucky to have her support!

The former Miss Universe shared on Instagram that she hopes to be as wonderful a mother as her child’s grandmother.

Olivia and Christian, who got married in June 2024, were thrilled to learn they were expecting a baby, and they weren’t the only ones!

The model posted some adorable videos of her dog, Oliver, showing his excitement about the new baby, Colette. One clip showed all three of them napping together in bed.

It’s clear Oliver will be a wonderful big brother! He gave his new baby sister kisses while she was snug in her carrier.

Colette got some much-needed rest while cuddling in her mom’s arms on a cozy armchair. 

Olivia’s sister, Sophia Culpo, appears to be a natural aunt, looking relaxed and happy while enjoying a nature walk with her niece.
