A highly anticipated game launching in 2026 will be optimized for the upcoming PS5 Pro console from day one. This means players with the upgraded console will enjoy enhanced graphics and performance. Given the game is expected to be a major release – ambitious in scope and generating a lot of excitement – this is welcome news for PS5 Pro owners, as the console’s improved hardware should deliver a significantly better experience, provided the game is well-optimized.
Following some initial uncertainty about support for the PlayStation 5, it’s now confirmed that the highly anticipated open-world RPG, Crimson Desert, launching on March 19th, will be enhanced for the PS5 Pro. While the South Korean developer, Pearl Abyss, hasn’t detailed what these enhancements will be, they usually include improvements to frame rates and resolution. Boosting performance in a large open-world game is challenging, so the enhancements might focus on resolution and other technical aspects.
Lack of PS5 Pro Support
Since the PS5 Pro launched in 2024, support for the console hasn’t been great. Many games haven’t taken advantage of the Pro’s extra power, and surprisingly, this includes some games made by PlayStation themselves. In some cases, games actually run worse on the PS5 Pro than the original PS5 because of optimization problems and issues with the Pro’s image upscaling technology. However, things are starting to improve. The game Crimson Desert is confirmed to be coming to the console, and this week’s major new release will also be optimized for the PS5 Pro.
