A highly-rated PlayStation game from the PS4 era is now confirmed to work well on the Steam Deck. Over the last few years, PlayStation has begun releasing some of its exclusive games on PC, including popular titles like God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and Marvel’s Spider-Man. While not all of these games initially worked seamlessly with the Steam Deck, this major PS4 title now does, which is great news for players.
Sucker Punch Productions recently released an update for Ghost of Tsushima on Steam. The update includes new features and fixes several bugs reported by players. A key improvement is better support for the Steam Deck, thanks to a new graphics setting. This makes Ghost of Tsushima one of the many “verified” games on Steam, meaning it’s designed to run smoothly on the Steam Deck without any issues.
Sucker Punch announced that the latest update includes fixes and improvements for the game’s user interface on the Steam Deck. They’ve added a specific graphics setting for Steam Deck, and are happy to confirm that the single-player portion of the game is now officially verified for the device.

This update is launching at a great time, following closely after the release of Ghost of Yotei. While the sequel, Ghost of Tsushima, is currently only available on PlayStation 5, it’s brought a lot of attention back to the entire samurai game series. Because of this renewed interest, it’s now even easier to play or revisit the original Ghost of Tsushima thanks to this update for the Steam Deck.
It’s likely that Ghost of Yotei will eventually become available on PC, just like previous sequels such as Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and God of War Ragnarok. It’s uncertain if it will be compatible with the Steam Deck, but I’m happy enough that Ghost of Tsushima can now be played on a handheld device.
