Netflix is known for its great comedy selection, but they recently lost a popular movie in the genre. After being available on Netflix for about a year and a half, the comedy film was removed on Sunday and became available on Hulu on Monday.
The 2023 romantic comedy *Anyone But You*, starring Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell, was a surprising success in theaters. The film, released by Sony, performed well at the box office for several weeks, demonstrating that audiences still enjoy romantic comedies. Following its time in cinemas, *Anyone But You* became available to stream on Netflix, as is standard for Sony’s movies.
After being available on Netflix for 18 months, the movie *Anyone But You* is now streaming on Hulu. This is great timing for Hulu, as the service also features recent popular projects with both stars: Sydney Sweeney’s horror film *Immaculate*, and Glen Powell’s TV series *Chad Powers*, which is nearing the end of its first season.
The movie *Anyone But You* is a contemporary retelling of Shakespeare’s *Much Ado About Nothing*. It centers on two people who initially dislike each other, but pretend to be a couple while attending a wedding in Australia. They do this to make their exes jealous and appease their families. Despite their animosity, they fake a relationship, and the film became a huge success for Sony, earning over $220 million worldwide on a budget of just $23 million.
