One of the Biggest Anime Romances Hypes Season 3 Return With First Trailer

Fans are excited for the return of the popular romantic comedy anime, The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You, which will have a third season debuting this summer. The first trailer has just been released, giving viewers a sneak peek. The show, created by Rikito Nakamura and Yukiko Nozawa, ended its second season last year with the main character, Aijo Rentaro, having twelve girlfriends. Its large cast of heroines has made it a hit, and the upcoming season promises even more!

Following the success of its second season last year, the anime 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You is returning for a third! The already large group of Rentaro’s girlfriends is about to grow even bigger with new characters joining the cast. A trailer for the upcoming season, set to premiere this summer, has just been released and gives fans a first glimpse of what’s in store.

The 100 Girlfriends Season 3 Confirms July 2026 Release

I’m so excited to share that Season 3 of 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You is officially slated for Summer 2026! We don’t have an exact date just yet, and there’s no word on how or when it will be available outside of Japan, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed! If you’re new to the series, or want to rewatch, the first two seasons are currently streaming on Crunchyroll. Hopefully, Crunchyroll will also get the license to stream Season 3 when it comes out!

The manga has been on a slightly delayed release schedule because one of the creators is on maternity leave, which makes the upcoming anime even more anticipated. While we’ve gotten a first look at two new characters joining Rentaro’s group in the third season, the voice actors for these characters haven’t been announced yet. We can expect more details about the returning voice and production staff as the new episodes get closer.

What’s Special About The 100 Girlfriends?

With a title as eye-catching as The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You, you might expect a typical romantic comedy. However, this anime is different. It skips the usual back-and-forth of will-they-won’t-they relationships and dives straight into the premise: Rentaro discovers he has one hundred soulmates!

Rentaro’s girlfriends are all unique individuals with their own wants and needs, and they develop close friendships with each other. Despite the complex relationships, Rentaro remains the most entertaining character. He goes to extreme lengths—even bending the rules of reality—to ensure each of his girlfriends is happy and feels cherished. It’s a wonderfully chaotic series where every romantic relationship thrives.
