Satisfactory, the popular factory-building game where you explore and create in a huge open world, was originally released on PC in 2024 after being developed for five years. Now, players on consoles can also experience the game.
I’m excited to share that Satisfactory is now available on consoles! Coffee Stain Studios teamed up with Fishlabs to make it happen, and it launched today.
Satisfactory is a game you can enjoy by yourself or with others, where you play as an employee of FICSIT, tasked with harvesting resources on an alien planet. This seemingly straightforward job quickly turns into complex and often chaotic fun as you build huge, automated factories that expand across the landscape.
Massage-2(AB)b is a huge planet teeming with strange plants and animals. Players can explore diverse environments while searching for valuable resources.
In the game Satisfactory, you can build factories absolutely anywhere – from mountaintops to lowlands, with careful planning or just by going with your gut. The core idea is automation: players design complex systems of conveyor belts to gather and transport resources efficiently.
Satisfactory offers players a vast and unique alien world to discover, complete with a variety of ways to get around – from vehicles and jump pads to jetpacks and beyond.

Now that Satisfactory is available on consoles, players on Xbox can enjoy features like Quick Resume and automatic cloud saves.
When Satisfactory launches on Xbox and PlayStation, players on those consoles will be able to play together. However, playing with PC players won’t be available at launch. Also, Satisfactory isn’t part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program, and you won’t be able to play it on PC with your Xbox account.
Coffee Stain Studios has announced that players will be able to transfer their saved games between the Xbox and PlayStation versions of the game.
When Satisfactory launches on consoles, players will be able to choose from three graphics settings to optimize their experience: Quality mode for a visually rich game at 30 frames per second, Balanced mode for a mix of visuals and speed at 40fps, and Performance mode for the smoothest gameplay at 60fps.
Coffee Stain Studios is already developing Update 1.2 for Satisfactory, meaning the game will continue to be updated and improved after its release. More details about the update will be shared soon.
Satisfactory is now available to play on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game was a big hit in 2024, earning PC Game of the Year at the Golden Joysticks Awards and receiving a score of 91 on Metacritic. Players on Steam have given it overwhelmingly positive reviews – over 122,000 of them!
