
The year 2026 is already seeing a lot of manga series cancelled from Shonen Jump, continuing a trend that started last year with several disappointing endings, including for the promising series Kaedegami. It appears cancellations will continue at a high rate. Last month alone, Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and the digital platform Shonen Jump+ ended eight series, seven of which were cancelled outright. Only One Piece in Love, a spin-off comedy based on Eiichiro Oda’s popular One Piece, finished its run after nearly eight years. And already in February 2026, Shonen Jump is preparing to cancel another series that had shown a lot of potential.
