One of the Greatest Sci-Fi Movies of All Time Is About To Stream Free For Everyone

The Fly is Body Horror at its Finest

The 1986 film continues to receive high praise from both critics and viewers. Its impressive practical effects, combined with David Cronenberg’s skillful direction and strong performances from Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis, left little to fault. Many see the film as a powerful representation of chronic or terminal illness, with the gradual changes to the main character’s body and mind, and his powerlessness to stop them, remaining impactful after four decades.
