The Egghead Arc of One Piece is nearing its conclusion, as teased in a new trailer showcasing upcoming anime footage. Beyond that, One Piece is preparing for significant changes to its release schedule starting in 2026. However, before that happens, the anime will continue to air new episodes for several weeks to wrap up the current arc.
After a six-month break, the second part of the One Piece: Egghead Arc began airing this Spring and has been unfolding ever since. While the anime is looking ahead to a new story arc in 2026, it first needs to finish the Egghead Arc. Good news for fans: a recent trailer revealed that the Egghead Arc will conclude starting with the next episode! You can watch the trailer below.
How Will One Piece: Egghead Arc End?
The final episodes of the Egghead Arc in One Piece will start with Episode 1121, airing in Japan on November 30th. The trailer features a conversation between Luffy and Bonney, and highlights key events from the arc so far. It appears Bonney will be crucial to the story’s conclusion, just as she has been throughout the arc, and she’ll likely unleash a new level of power as things come to a head.
Even with Bonney’s potential help, the Egghead Arc still has many unanswered questions. Vegapunk’s final message continues to reveal long-hidden secrets about the world’s past, giving fans the answers they’ve waited decades for. At the same time, Luffy and the Straw Hats are desperately trying to escape the Five Elders, who are using their full strength to destroy Egghead Island. There’s still a lot to resolve before this story arc concludes.
What to Know for One Piece’s Return in 2026
The current story arc of One Piece is nearing its end, and big changes are on the horizon. Once the Egghead Arc concludes later this year, the anime will pause for three months before new episodes return in April. The One Piece: Elbaph Arc is scheduled to premiere in April 2026 as part of the Spring anime lineup, and the series will then follow a seasonal release schedule going forward.
The One Piece anime is changing its release schedule to two blocks of episodes per year, totaling 26 episodes annually. This will allow the anime to adapt the manga much more quickly, and a new phase of the series is planned to begin next spring.
