I’m so hyped! New episodes of One Piece are finally coming in April as part of the Spring 2026 anime season! We even got a first look at what’s coming in the Elbaph Arc, and they’ve introduced a major new character! Remember how the Egghead Arc wrapped up last year? Well, the production is changing things up big time. Starting in 2026, One Piece is switching to a new seasonal release schedule, which is awesome news for fans like me!
Instead of releasing episodes weekly, we’ll now be getting the anime as part of the regular seasonal anime releases. The One Piece: Elbaph Arc will finally show Monkey D. Luffy arriving on the long-awaited island of giants. A new trailer revealed at AnimeJapan 2026 also introduced Yuichi Nakamura (known for his role as Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen) as the voice of Loki. You can watch the trailer below.
When Does One Piece: Elbaph Arc Premiere?
The One Piece: Elbaph Arc anime will begin airing in Japan on April 5th, 2026, as part of the spring anime season. Fans in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Southeast Asia, and Latin America can watch it on Crunchyroll. A week later, on April 11th, the new episodes will also be available on Netflix. As of now, there’s no information about when the English dub will be released.
The latest trailer for AnimeJapan 2026 also unveiled the new opening theme song, “Luminous,” by Aina The End, and the ending theme, “Sono Mirai,” performed by 36km/h. With the upcoming Elbaph Arc, One Piece is entering a new phase of production with a revised release schedule, promising a better-paced experience for viewers.
One Piece: Elbaph Arc Will Have Less Episodes Than Previous Seasons
The team making the anime One Piece has announced a change to its release schedule. This year, only 26 episodes will be released, which is fewer than in previous years. However, this new schedule will allow them to adapt the original manga by Eiichiro Oda at a faster pace than before.
The team behind the One Piece anime is working to make the episodes flow more like the original manga, which has been a long-standing request from fans. If they can improve the pacing while still maintaining the exciting visuals the anime is known for, it should be a great experience.
