Despite being initially conceived impulsively, the Supernovas, also recognized as One Piece’s Worst Generation, have unexpectedly won over fans, often catching Oda off guard. Since their debut on Sabaody, One Piece’s arcs following the time skip have progressively shone light on each of these powerful characters. Characters like Bonney and Law have even sparked discussions about their potential inclusion in the Straw Hat crew.
With the conclusion of the Wano Arc and the commencement of the Final Saga, the competition to find the One Piece has intensified significantly. Consequently, some much-adored Supernovas have been compelled to step aside, or in the instances of Law and Kid, they’ve found themselves at the ocean floor. It seems that fans are yearning for the Worst Generation more than ever before. Fortunately, One Piece has reintroduced the Supernovas in a new promotional material, and they appear more impressive than ever.
One Piece Brings Back the Supernovas in New Official Art
In a recent post on X, @pewpiece unveiled fresh official artwork depicting members of One Piece’s Worst Generation, with the exception of Luffy, Zoro, and Blackbeard. However, even without these prominent characters, the remaining Supernovas capture the spotlight spectacularly. At the bottom, Hawkins and Gang Bege radiate charm, while Bonney and Eutass Kid command attention at the center, both oozing self-assuredness. Killer is positioned behind Eutass Kid, maintaining his supporting role even in the promotional image. Moving upwards, Law and Urouge dominate the top of the picture, flashing cocky smiles that suit them perfectly. Lastly, though slightly overshadowed by their peers, X Drake and Apoo are placed strategically on either side of Bonney, portraying an aura of intimidation and mystery as always.
It’s great to see many of the Supernovas like Hawkins, Kid, Killer, and Law (who are presumably deceased) along with others such as Bege, Apoo, and Urouge (who haven’t been seen for a while in the series), all together again. Although characters like Bonney and Drake are still present, they seem to be moving towards the background as the storyline of One Piece progresses, focusing more on larger enemies and allies – like the Elbaf Arc. However, since some Supernovas like Law and Kid might have survived, there remains a small chance that we could witness a grand reunion of the Supernovas in One Piece at some point in the future.
One Piece can be streamed on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
