One-Punch Man’s Latest Season 3 Update is Making Fans Nervous About a Delay

The anticipated comeback of One-Punch Man on television screens, initially slated for October, has left fans in a state of uncertainty following the absence of a fresh trailer at this year’s Anime Expo. This has led to questions regarding when we might catch another glimpse of the upcoming season before its official airing. To add to the confusion, recent statements from a One-Punch Man voice actor have sparked concerns about potential delays or changes in the anime’s fall premiere. Will we witness another battle between Monster and Hero Associations this autumn as initially planned, or will fans have to wait even longer?

Kyle Herbert, well-known in the anime world, has been lending his voice to popular characters for quite some time now – Gohan from “Dragon Ball”, Kamina from “Gurren Lagann”, and Fat Gum from “My Hero Academia”. In “One-Punch Man”, he portrays Atomic Samurai, a character expected to play a significant role in the upcoming third season. Regrettably, Kyle has shared that neither scripts nor recording opportunities for the third season have been provided to him yet, with the premiere date still several months away. He expressed his uncertainty about the timing but remains hopeful, stating “No, but if we do (get scripts), we can’t discuss it. But honestly, I haven’t received any calls about it. I don’t know when it’s happening. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time; I’m hoping it will coincide with simuldubs.

The One-Punch Man Anime Expo Controversy

This month, it was Los Angeles’ turn to host the Anime Expo convention, which showcases the anime industry. At this gathering, “One-Punch Man” featured in not one but two panels – one dedicated to Bandai Namco and another centered around the series itself. However, neither panel delivered what fans anticipated as no new trailer was unveiled. So far, only a trailer for season three has been revealed, and with its release date approaching quickly, viewers are speculating whether Saitama might make his comeback this year.

Fans of anime have eagerly anticipated the return of Saitama since season two concluded in 2019. The second season left viewers on edge as Garou joined forces with the Monster Association, planning to enlist their aid against the crime fighters. Since Saitama typically overpowers his martial arts foes, Garou, once a student of Bang, must now find a way to overcome the protagonist. Fortunately, the manga is still being published regularly, offering more insight into Saitama’s journey and introducing fresh challenges that could potentially match his abilities.
