U&GOLD has announced a new two-part documentary series coming in 2026 to mark the 45th anniversary of the classic sitcom, Only Fools and Horses.
A new series, called Only Fools and Horses: The Lost Archive, will reveal previously unseen footage from more than ten classic episodes. It includes popular installments like ‘The Jolly Boys’ Outing’ and ‘Mother Nature’s Son’.
The collection will also include previously unreleased material from shows like “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Uncle,” “Mother Nature’s Son,” and “Time on Our Hands.” A lost opening scene from “Class of ’62,” featuring Del and Rodney in a nightclub, will also be unveiled.
The filming of “Miami Twice” faced delays because Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees needed multiple takes. This meant Del Boy and Rodney had to repeatedly travel up and down the river to get the perfect shot.
The documentary includes fresh interviews with many of the show’s original stars and behind-the-scenes team, such as Sir David Jason (who played Del Boy), Tessa Peake-Jones (Raquel), Gwyneth Strong (Cassandra), Sue Holderness (Marlene Boyce), Steven Woodcock (Jevon), and Denis Lill (Alan Parry).
The series will also feature interviews with Mike Jones, who co-wrote ‘Lovely Jubbly,’ Perry Aghajanoff, chairman of the ‘Only Fools and Horses Appreciation Society,’ editor Chris Wadsworth, and director Tony Dow.

Looking back at these old memories really highlights how wonderful the show was, and continues to be. I’m so excited to finally be able to share them with everyone.
Helen Nightingale, who commissions factual programs for UKTV, explained that ‘Only Fools and Horses’ is a beloved and integral part of British culture.
This comedy is a classic – funny, heartwarming, and full of characters you won’t forget. This series honors its history while also introducing fresh content for longtime fans.
Only Fools and Horses: The Lost Archive will air on U&GOLD.
