Fans of Frictional Games, known for titles like Soma and Amnesia: The Bunker, have been eagerly awaiting their next project. Now, we have a first look at Ontos, a new horror game that appears to be their most unsettling yet. Check out the premiere trailer below!
Scheduled for release on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2026, this game features Stellan Skarsgård (known for his role in Andor) and is set in a transformed hotel on the Moon. The story is mysterious, but expect a disturbing mix of body horror, cyberpunk elements, and graphic imagery. If you found the initial trailer for Larian Studios’ Divinity unsettling, this game promises to be even more so.
We’ll be sharing more information about Ontos shortly. In the meantime, you can read our review of Amnesia: The Bunker, a survival horror game set in a World War 1 bunker. You’ll need to use your wits to survive as you’re hunted by a terrifying creature – you can experiment with different strategies, or try to power through with persistence (and likely a few deaths!).
