The 2026 Oscars may be over, but movie’s biggest night rages on.
When One Battle After Another won Best Picture at the awards show hosted by Conan O’Brien on March 15th, the celebrity-filled Dolby Theatre emptied out as guests headed to parties all over Los Angeles. (You can see photos of the celebrities on the red carpet here and a full list of winners here.)
After the official Vanity Fair party, the celebration continued late into the night with parties hosted by stars like Elton John, Madonna, and Jay-Z and Beyoncé. Winners, nominees, presenters, and even other celebrities who didn’t attend the Academy Awards joined in the festivities.
The Governor’s Ball, the official after-party hosted by the Academy, was also a highlight. It’s where the fresh Oscar winners have their statuettes engraved each year. While winners like Michael B. Jordan, Jessie Buckley, and Amy Madigan waited for their engravings, guests enjoyed food prepared by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck and his son, Byron, along with drinks from Don Julio Tequila.
As a longtime fan of Byron’s work, I was fascinated to hear him talk about what it’s really like catering to Hollywood’s elite. He recently shared with Variety just how challenging it can be – imagine making ice cream, sorbet, or gelato for 1,500 people! And this year, he and his father are going the extra mile, making everything completely from scratch. It’s incredible dedication, and you can definitely taste the difference!

The night was special even before the awards ceremony began. Ryan Coogler’s film, Sinners, arrived with an impressive 16 nominations – and a historic one for costume designer Ruth E. Carter, who became the most-nominated Black woman ever at the Oscars.
Timothée Chalamet made history with his Best Actor nomination for Marty Supreme, becoming the youngest male actor to receive three Oscar nominations since Marlon Brando. Emma Stone also achieved a milestone, becoming the youngest woman with seven nominations thanks to her Best Actress bid and her role as a co-producer on Bugonia.
