Stars are getting ready for a golden evening.
On January 22nd, Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman announced the nominees for the 2026 Oscars at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles.
Paul Thomas Anderson’s film, One Battle After Another, has been a major success during awards season and is likely to win even more awards at the ceremony on March 15th. It’s predicted to receive numerous nominations at the 98th Academy Awards, including Best Picture, with Leonardo DiCaprio potentially winning Best Actor and Teyana Taylor vying for Best Supporting Actress.
The movie Sinners is also predicted to be a strong contender for awards, potentially earning nominations for Best Picture, Michael B. Jordan as Best Actor, and Ryan Coogler for Best Director.
It looks like Marty Supreme might be trading ping pong paddles for awards! The film is expected to compete for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay, just like during this award season. Plus, Timothée Chalamet is a strong contender for Best Actor thanks to his performance.
Playing Marty Mauser turned out to be a great move for Timothée. He’s recently been nominated for an award, following his wins for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy at the 2026 Golden Globes and Best Actor at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards earlier this year.
I was so thrilled to see Timothée acknowledge Kylie during his speech – it was really sweet! But I also appreciated him giving a shout-out to Josh Safdie for believing in the film and giving him the opportunity to be part of such a great project. It meant a lot that he recognized Josh’s vision.
The speaker, a 30-year-old, praised the storyteller for creating a compelling character – someone imperfect but with a dream many could understand. They appreciated that the story didn’t lecture the audience about morality, and encouraged others to tell similar stories, expressing gratitude for the inspiring work.
