Aksys Games announced that the otome visual novel OVER REQUIEMZ, developed by Idea Factory and Kogado Studio, will be released on Switch in western regions in the summer of 2026.
OVER REQUIEMZ first launched for Switch on April 17 in Japan.
Here is an overview of the game, via Aksys Games:
OVER REQUIEMZ is a captivating visual novel inspired by The Wizard of Oz. After a powerful tornado sweeps you away, you find yourself in the magical land of Oz, governed by four witches and a king. However, you’re not greeted with welcome arms – you’re sentenced to death! To earn your freedom, you must explore ancient ruins alongside four dangerous criminals and a mysterious guard. Your goal is to avoid execution and find a path back to your own world.
This isn’t your typical Oz story. High schooler Yuhiru is suddenly transported to a dark and dangerous version of the land after a tornado hits. Wrongfully condemned to death, she’s forced to journey with four dangerous criminals and their guard. They’re all heading towards strange, crumbling ruins that eerily resemble home, but are now overrun with monsters. Yuhiru must rely on her companions as she makes difficult choices, always remembering that even those who seem lost can be found again.
