Hulu has greenlit a pilot for a new revival of The X-Files. The project, led by director Ryan Coogler, is moving forward with Danielle Deadwyler confirmed as the first cast member – a role she was previously considered for. Details about the story are starting to emerge, hinting at a fresh and intriguing take on the classic series. Coogler will both write and direct the pilot episode, building on the success of his recent work on Sinners which earned him Oscar nominations.
