The film In the Blink of an Eye tells three interconnected stories across millennia, starting with the Big Bang and moving forward in time and space. It explores everything from the origins of life to the struggles of a Neanderthal family, and then jumps to the present and future. While the film is incredibly ambitious and took some bold risks, viewers have found it to be both visually spectacular and deeply moving. This is especially noteworthy for director Andrew Stanton, who previously only directed one live-action film, John Connor, but is also known for the beloved animated classics Finding Nemo and WALL-E. One previous misstep shouldn’t overshadow his impressive talent.
