The acclaimed, R-rated war film starring Sean Penn and Michael J. Fox is gaining popularity on free streaming services, 37 years after its initial release. Like many of the most impactful Vietnam War movies, it doesn’t avoid depicting the brutal realities of the conflict – including the hardships faced by American soldiers and the terrible acts committed during the war.

The latest book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, revealed that a character named Egg is secretly Aegon Targaryen. This means that every book published so far in the series has included at least one character with the name Aegon Targaryen, as it was a popular name—particularly for firstborn sons—among Targaryens due to its connection to the original Targaryen conqueror.

A key dinner scene features the four friends – played by Alana Haim (from One Battle After Another) and Mamoudou Athie (Kinds of Kindness) – sharing their most embarrassing moments. We only hear the stories of two of them, which involve a dog and, strangely, beer bottles and pornography. The scene cuts abruptly as Emma finishes speaking, leaving everyone at the table shocked. Alana Haim’s character asks if she’s telling the truth, and Charlie nervously laughs before exclaiming, “Emma, WHAT THE F!” Emma, clearly mortified, can only manage to apologize.

The first season of HBO’s acclaimed crime series remains unmatched. This eight-episode mystery, starring Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey, was a flawless piece of television. Its incredible casting, smart writing, and intensely unsettling mood created a standard for detective shows that few have been able to meet.

I was completely shocked to see Darth Plagueis appear near the end of The Acolyte! It’s incredible to think he was Palpatine’s teacher, and even more mind-blowing to learn he has a connection to Qimir, The Stranger, and all the dark side plots happening a century before the prequel films. It really adds a whole new layer to the Star Wars story.
