For years, William Gibson’s 1984 novel was considered impossible to adapt into a movie or TV show. Its complex, non-linear story, extensive internal thoughts, and imaginative virtual world scared off Hollywood producers. However, Apple TV+ is now making a 10-episode series based on the book, created by Graham Roland (known for Jack Ryan) and JD Dillard (Sleight, Devotion). The series is currently being filmed, and Apple promises to bring the characters of Case and Molly, along with the futuristic city of the Sprawl, to life with the same high-quality design and detailed world-building that fans expect from its science fiction shows.

Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is often considered the first science fiction story, and it has been the basis for countless films, including the more recent Ex Machina. Ex Machina centers on Caleb, a computer programmer who visits the secluded home of his employer, Nathan, to meet Ava, an artificial intelligence robot Nathan has created. The film anticipated many of the themes we now associate with the rise of AI, and Alicia Vikander’s performance as Ava is particularly noteworthy.

Thankfully, the actor’s night isn’t over despite the red carpet portion of the Trevor Noah-hosted event being finished.

In the world of DC Comics, time is always changing, and even small decisions can have huge, world-ending results. These are the darkest possible futures that Earth’s heroes are desperately trying to prevent.

At first, a show might seem strange or silly, but it gradually reveals deeper emotions – the pain, the emptiness, or just the difficulty of being human. It’s easy to fall into watching, thinking it’s not a serious story until it unexpectedly makes you think about big questions like what gives life meaning, dealing with loss, or how people hide their inner sadness. Anime like this shows us that even seemingly odd or simple stories can be surprisingly meaningful if we give them a chance.

As a games journalist, I’m usually hesitant to defend games that have received a lot of negative attention, especially when it feels like no one is willing to listen. However, I feel it’s time to speak up about Left Alive, the often-criticized survival shooter from Square Enix. It’s sadly become a forgotten title, relegated to discount bins and selling for next to nothing. While Left Alive definitely has its flaws, it’s actually a better game than many people believe.

Recent Star Trek shows are clearly drawing inspiration from Voyager, revisiting storylines and characters from that series. Most of the original Voyager cast members have reappeared in the franchise, and their roles have often been more than just quick cameos. These returns have actually expanded on stories from the 1990s, adding new details to the established universe and solidifying Voyager‘s importance within Star Trek lore. Here’s a list of every actor from Voyager who has been back in Star Trek over the past decade.

After becoming a hit last year, the streaming service has officially renewed the crime drama The Asset for a second season. The first season, which premiered last October, followed an undercover agent named Tea who had to befriend the wife of a drug smuggler to solve his crimes. As Tea got closer to her target, her mission became increasingly difficult, and she risked everything – her job and her future – to help her new friend. Though the first season offered some resolution, fans will be thrilled to know a new story is on the way.

Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) takes center stage in season 4, falling in love with a mysterious lady in silver, who, unbeknownst to him, is a working-class maid named Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). The response to Bridgerton season 4 has been mixed thus far, but Sophie and Benedict’s burgeoning relationship is no match for a consequential, long-running friendship in the series.
