The game was revealed only a few months before Disney bought Lucasfilm and the Star Wars franchise, leading to its cancellation and disappearance. This isn’t an isolated incident; several other Star Wars games have faced similar fates. For example, Amy Hennig, known for creating the Uncharted series, was working on a realistic Star Wars game focused on a band of rogues. It was announced with very little information – no title, just a short gameplay snippet. After years of no updates, the project was silently dropped, disappointing many fans. Currently, we’re seeing a pattern of Star Wars games being announced prematurely.

A previously undiscovered fourth ending for the game was hinted at on December 13, 2025, by Nick Herman, a lead developer and co-founder of Dispatch, during an interview with Eurogamer. While some fans had found references to it within the game’s code, no one had actually unlocked it through gameplay. This secret ending, called “Tactitian,” appeared to require completing all 26 hacks related to the “H4ck3d by R0b3rt” achievement. Despite many attempts, players couldn’t trigger the ending, which likely led Herman to mention it.

As a long-time Doctor Who fan, I’ve always appreciated how the show revisits its villains. It’s a tough challenge for the writers to make these characters feel fresh and interesting when we’ve seen them before, but they usually pull it off! I really love that Doctor Who invests in developing its baddies as much as its heroes. And honestly, seeing some of those classic villains return lately has been amazing – it’s so nostalgic and it’s great to recognize them.
