Even though reviews were somewhat divided, you’ll likely enjoy watching Renfield. This action-packed horror comedy, directed by Chris McKay and based on characters from Bram Stoker’s classic 1897 novel Dracula, began streaming on Peacock on December 9th. The film offers a fresh take on the story, starring Nicolas Cage as the famous vampire and Nicholas Hoult as his long-suffering assistant, who decides he’s ready for a change after years of service.

Damon has been in Nolan films before – he appeared in Interstellar and Oppenheimer – but this upcoming project will be the first time he’s been the lead. It could be his biggest film as a leading actor in over ten years, and potentially his biggest ever. Currently, The Martian, where he starred, earned $653 million worldwide. While Oppenheimer made even more – $976 million – Damon had a supporting role in that film, according to The Numbers.

The animated series Futurama has had an on-again, off-again relationship with Cartoon Network, originally airing on Adult Swim in 2003. The show, about Fry, Leela, Bender, and their delivery crew, has been revived several times after initially ending on Fox. After leaving Adult Swim in 2007, it returned in 2021, but now it seems Futurama is leaving Cartoon Network again. Fans have only a few weeks left to watch it on the network. The series will be removed on Friday, December 26th, the day after Christmas, as part of a larger trend of Hulu taking its shows off other platforms—something they also did earlier this year with King of the Hill.

Author Rebecca Yarros announced on Instagram that she’s starting work on her next book. She jokingly said she’s excited to spend months ‘playing’ with the characters in her head and writing their stories. However, this won’t be the next installment in her popular Fourth Wing series. Yarros is writing a contemporary romance first, and plans to return to the world of Fourth Wing once that book is finished.
