The recently released book, The Art of Star Wars: The Acolyte, delves into the character of Plagueis, as expected. Creator Lesly Headland discussed her vision for the character, explaining she aimed for a similar effect as Gollum in The Fellowship of the Ring. She wanted to hint at Plagueis’ presence through subtle details like his eyes and coloring, but keep him largely in shadow. Headland hoped that by showing his movements from the perspective of the main characters, the audience would feel aware of the danger before the characters themselves did.

As a huge Mario fan, I was completely surprised by the latest trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie! They brought back Mouser, a villain we haven’t seen in about 37 years! For those who don’t remember, Mouser was a pesky little mouse with sunglasses from Super Mario Bros. 2. He showed up right beside Peach as she was getting ready to fight Birdo, which was a fun throwback. In the original game, he’d throw bombs at Mario and Luigi, trying to stop them in their tracks. He even made a quick appearance the next year on The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! as one of King Koopa’s henchmen, but honestly, he’s been missing in action ever since. It’s awesome to see Illumination digging deep into Mario history!
