Popular video game franchises are increasingly being adapted into tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs). These games often have compelling stories, challenging combat systems, or focus on immersive exploration and character development – all elements that already feel like the foundation for a great tabletop campaign. While none of these games currently have a fully developed, officially supported TTRPG version, they each have the potential to become the next big success in the TTRPG world. Here are four video games that would be ideal for this transition.

As a huge comic book fan, I’ve been really frustrated with these massive crossover events lately. They often feel more about the idea of a big event than about a good story, and the recent DC K.O. is a perfect example. The premise – a fighting tournament between heroes and villains to gain power and stop Darkseid – is actually pretty cool, but it just feels…excessive. It got me thinking about where we draw the line between a fun gimmick and something that actually hurts the comics. I honestly think we’ve crossed that line, and it’s starting to impact the quality of the stories we’re getting.

The new series, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, is cleverly incorporating characters from the original story, even though it takes place in a different time. The latest chapter does this with Nobara Kugisaki, finally giving fans an update on what happened to her after the events of Jujutsu Kaisen. However, the reveal isn’t what fans were hoping for – it’s not a return, but a recording that appears to have been made before she died.

I’m so thrilled with how well Zootopia 2 did over Thanksgiving! Variety reported it brought in around $156 million here in the US, making it the second-biggest Thanksgiving opening ever – only Moana 2 from last year did better with $225 million. But the really amazing part is how it did globally! It made a huge $556 million worldwide, thanks to a record-breaking launch in China. Can you believe it’s already one of the top 10 highest-grossing movies of 2025? It even beat out The Fantastic Four: First Steps which made $521.8 million! It’s incredible to see so many people loving the movie.

The 2014 film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, a sequel to the popular Rise of the Planet of the Apes, will be removed from streaming services on December 1st. Set ten years after a deadly virus nearly wiped out humanity, the movie follows Caesar (played by Andy Serkis), a highly intelligent chimpanzee, and the growing ape community he leads in Muir Woods. When a small group of surviving humans forms their own settlement, Caesar must decide whether to protect his ape family at all costs or attempt to build a peaceful relationship with humans.

Batman is known for his strict rule against killing, and many fans feel it’s a core part of who he is. However, most Batman movies have shown him breaking this rule, either by accident, as a consequence of his actions, or intentionally. This often goes against what makes the character so important in the DC Comics universe.
