5 Years Ago Today, a Long-Awaited Video Game Released That’s Finally Getting a Sequel Next Year

I first discovered Meat Boy way back on Newgrounds, a classic Flash game site. Then in 2010, Super Meat Boy officially launched and totally blew my mind – it really grabbed me and a lot of other hardcore platforming fans. The characters – Meat Boy, Band-Aid Girl, and even Dr. Fetus – switched things up with an autorunner style in Super Meat Boy Forever. But now, they’re taking their biggest leap yet with Super Meat Boy 3D coming out next year, and I can’t wait!

Crunchyroll to Finally Launch an English Dub for Fall’s Coolest Anime

I’m excited to share that Digimon Beatbreak is finally getting an English dub! Crunchyroll announced it will start streaming the dubbed version on December 27th. They’re launching with a big premiere – the first five episodes will be available all at once. After that, new episodes will continue to be released alongside the original Japanese version. Dragon Ball Hilariously Returns Thanks to Cartoon Network Revival

I recently watched an episode of The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball that was full of fun nods to Dragon Ball. In the episode, called “The Synthesis,” two characters, Nicole and Yuki, go to their daughters’ career day hoping to make a good impression, but things don’t go as planned. They end up fusing together – just like characters do in Dragon Ball using both the fusion dance and Potarra earrings! They even created a new character, “Nicoshida,” and the animation style briefly shifted to look like classic anime, complete with a narrator who sounded straight out of Dragon Ball Z. It was a really clever and entertaining tribute to the series.

JPMorgan’s Crypto Gambit: A Twist for Coinbase & Bullish?

It is reported that JPMorgan, that paragon of Wall Street, intends to offer crypto trading to its esteemed institutional clients. A move that may reshape the competitive landscape, though not necessarily at the expense of its rivals. One might say it is a dance of mutual benefit, though with a dash of rivalry. 🕺

After years without a new James Bond game, IO Interactive is stepping in with 007 First Light, a fresh take that explores Bond’s early days. The game will reveal previously untold parts of his backstory with an original narrative, and actor Patrick Gibson will portray the iconic spy. Lenny Kravitz is also joining the cast as a villain. 007 First Light aims to combine the gameplay style of IO Interactive’s Hitman series with the thrilling action fans expect from James Bond. Originally planned for a March release, the game is now expected slightly later.

65 Years Ago Today, The Twilight Zone Released a Tragic Christmas Episode (Starring a Hollywood Legend)

“The Night of the Meek,” a classic episode from Season 2 of the original Twilight Zone, unfolds on Christmas Eve. Art Carney plays Henry Corwin, a man who takes a job as a department store Santa. After a rough night and losing his job, Corwin finds something unexpected that could make his Christmas wish come true. Originally aired 65 years ago, the story was revisited by the 1980s Twilight Zone revival, but the 1960 version remains a beloved holiday tradition.
