Similar to how the Tony Hawk series defined skateboarding games, SSX Tricky became a standout snowboarding title. But it wasn’t just the snowboarding itself that made it special. The game’s bright characters, huge levels, and fantastic music created a memorable experience, particularly for gamers who first played it on the GameCube or Xbox. Even after nearly 25 years, people still enjoy SSX Tricky, and it’s easy to see why.

A24 has secured the rights to the popular video game Overcooked and will partner with Netflix to create a reality show based on it, according to Deadline. The show is reportedly in the very early stages of development and will be similar in style to popular Netflix unscripted series like Nailed It! and Floor is Lava. This format is expected to be a good fit for the game’s chaotic and collaborative nature.

What really makes Family Guy special is the dynamic between Stewie and Brian. Stewie’s incredible intelligence frequently leads them into bizarre and unique adventures that no other baby and dog duo could handle. But the show isn’t limited to just their escapades; the sci-fi episodes often involve the whole Griffin family – and sometimes the entire Family Guy world – in completely different and exciting stories.

The Legends games are unique – they’re not quite side stories, but not traditional Pokémon games either. Many believe these games allow Pokémon and Game Freak to try out new ideas. If that’s true, I’m hoping the best parts of Pokémon Legends: Z-A become permanent features in future games, with one exception. Here are three things from Pokémon Legends: Z-A I’d like to see in the next generation, and one feature that should remain exclusive to the Legends series.

Edward Berger’s new film, Ballad of a Small Player, starring Colin Farrell as a gambler trying to escape his past, was the fourth most popular movie on Netflix from October 27th to November 2nd. The movie, based on Lawrence Osborne’s 2014 novel, was viewed 6.9 million times, totaling 11.9 million hours watched. It outperformed other popular titles like The Perfect Neighbor, The Woman in Cabin 10, and The Twits. However, it didn’t quite reach the top spot, which was held by A House of Dynamite, with KPop Demon Hunters remaining strong at No. 2 after 20 weeks on the charts.

If you didn’t catch it when it first came out, The Falconeer is an open-world air combat game where you fly massive warbirds across a vast oceanic world called the Ursee. You’ll engage in exciting aerial battles and uncover the secrets of a land torn apart by conflict and driven by greed. Remarkably, the entire game was created by a single developer and gained recognition in 2020 for its distinctive look and impressive scale.

While promoting Predator: Badlands, actress Olivia Fanning explained the challenges of playing multiple characters within the same scenes. She and director Dan Trachtenberg focused on making each character very different from the others, aiming for maximum contrast. The process involved working with other actors, including stunt doubles, who would wear the suit and perform parts of the scene, allowing Fanning to react and build off their performance. It required careful memory and flexibility, as she had to track her previous performances and anticipate how her reactions would fit with the footage they ultimately chose. She needed to provide Trachtenberg with plenty of options during filming, because when she was playing one character, someone else was performing as the other. It was a complex process, but ultimately very satisfying and rewarding.
