For the first time, Football Manager 26 is built using the Unity engine, bringing a completely revamped matchday experience to the series. While previous Football Manager games have always prioritized in-depth management and tactics, FM 26 significantly improves how matches look and feel. Expect exciting new camera angles and cutscenes, more detailed stadiums and crowds, and, most importantly, much more realistic player movements and ball physics, making games far more enjoyable to watch.

While not entirely groundbreaking, Battlefield: RedSec – EA’s new free-to-play battle royale – certainly delivers a spectacle. Following Firestorm, the series’ first attempt at the genre, RedSec offers visually impressive moments, like dozens of helicopters descending over the ravaged environment, complete with realistic radio chatter. The “Circle of Death,” a closing wave of explosions, also adds genuine tension and danger as players try to avoid being caught within it.

A new anime image shows characters Maomao and Jinshi dressed as Shinigami, or death gods, for a Halloween special. Death gods are a common figure in anime, appearing in series like Bleach, Death Note, Death Parade, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Black Butler. While it’s unlikely the upcoming third season and movie of The Apothecary Diaries will focus on supernatural themes, Maomao and Jinshi definitely look great in the costumes! Past Marvel Cinematic Universe films suggest the Multiverse Saga will end with a huge, thrilling climax. The previous major storyline, the Infinity Saga, concluded with the unforgettable and devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War, where many heroes perished. While Avengers: Doomsday probably won’t have quite as many deaths, it seems likely someone important will die as this final saga begins, and several characters are already considered to be at risk.

The current issue with the Pirates of the Caribbean series isn’t that people have stopped caring—it’s that the films lack a clear vision. It’s easy to forget that the franchise began as a risky idea: adapting a theme park attraction into a grand pirate adventure. Surprisingly, it worked, and the movies essentially created a new style of action-fantasy in the 2000s. The first film, The Curse of the Black Pearl, perfectly blended comedy, excitement, and captivating characters, instantly winning over audiences and launching Johnny Depp into icon status. However, after twenty years, what was once innovative and surprising now feels cautious. Disney seems to have lost its touch, and it’s unclear why the series has been stalled for so long.
