Windows 11’s taskbar search might finally use Google and Chrome if that’s what you want

A recent update to the early-release version of Microsoft Edge (Edge Canary) includes new settings that control how Windows handles searches entered into the taskbar. Outside of the European Economic Area, Windows will now automatically open Microsoft Edge and use Bing for any search typed into the taskbar, even if you’ve chosen a different browser as your default.

Morbid Metal Playtests Announced With New Trailer, Early Access Moved to “Later Date”

You can sign up for access on Steam now, but the dates for playtests haven’t been announced yet. The developer plans to hold small, focused playtests to improve the game, which means the early access launch is being pushed back to a later date. Originally, *Morbid Metal* was scheduled to release on August 20th, but after getting feedback from the demo, the release has been delayed until Fall 2025.

Silent Hill f Sells Over 1 Million Units

The publisher says this new game is selling faster than the *Silent Hill 2* remake did in Japan and other countries. While *Silent Hill 2* reached one million sales in its first week, it took several months to reach two million.

As a tech fan, I’m really impressed with this new PowerToys feature – they’ve clearly put a lot of thought into it. It’s called “Light Switch,” and it’s super easy to use. The interface is clean and intuitive, letting you set specific times for Windows to automatically switch between light and dark mode. It’s a small thing, but it makes a big difference in my day-to-day experience!
